    Well, X should sue for crappy work, not unilaterally decide not to fulfil their part of the agreement that seems in one way or another to be in place. And even without written contract, if they were paying bills, they still acknowledged some kind of contract was in place.

    Correct that 'cores' don't matter per se. But how many processes and/or threads can be run in a performant way matters. At work 4 cores in my laptop from which at least 1 is continuously fully used by 'mandatory' software, e.g. anti virus ... so yes headroom to have a usable laptop in e.g. two...

    No, Intel would never publish that they have 15W configured, and than only use 10W. That would be a 30% lower figure that they could put in their marketing materials. I don't understand how you can come to such a conclusion.
