    i have exactly the same issue with my HP PC, but with the Gainward version of the gt 640 gddr5. Been looking for a solution for weeks, but none have worked. One I saw was to flash (or update) the bios, which is risky but I'm tempted to do to get the card to work

    Yeah ive emailed them and now awaiting a response. Hopefully i dont need a replacement as its difficult to get stuff delivered here

    just found a bios update, but doesnt seem to update much except a bug with touch screens. Is it worth installing?

    ok but ive heard that can go easily wrong. Is there a fool proof way? (Im not too good with BIOS stuff) also the gt 620 is just a rebranded gt 430, so that may be why the gt 640 is too new.
