Review Noctua NH-P1 Review: For those who demand silence

"Can only be mounted one direction on AMD systems" If you email Noctua support they'll send you brackets for free to rotate it 90 degrees. I run one of these in a completely fanless home server system. Except the X570 chip set got a bit hot so a did mount a small, slow, silent Noctua fan next...

News Blown capacitor kills $2,799 Asus RTX 5090 GPU and damages motherboard

You're correct. Buildzoid did a video on this. It was a power stage, not a capacitor, and these have been known to fail before.

News SilverStone’s $799 Alta D1 chassis hits retail — modular workstation case is flexible and capacious at 79 liters

It can read the whole floppy into ram, but it doesn't have to. With Amiberry, it works in a mode where it reads the same way an Amiga would. You can even hear the drive ticking when there is no disk in, and it will automatically detect any disk you insert, just like the Amiga did.

'Elite: Dangerous Horizons' Beta Date Announced, Non-Thargoid Species Confirmed

Other comments are odd. Not really sure what ED:H has got to do with Star Citizen, and planetary landings was billed as a future paid expansion back in Kickstarter days. The killer feature for me is the realistic galaxy. And now they are adding realistic planets with real geology. I'm glad...
