I downloaded the iso from a site that i used before with no problems. I dont think there is anything dodgy at all about the ISO. But yes I have realised there is the official microsoft site that needs the product key which

Windows 7 product key is one character short it seems??

So my girlfriend bought the laptop when she lived in thailand for 7 years. She said it was from a proper shop, which there are plenty of official shops with genuine laptops. But asking her more questions I am a bit dubious about this shop! But she cant remember as it was 7 years ago! It is a...

Windows 7 product key is one character short it seems??

Its an Acer laptop, there was strangely no restore feature anywhere to be found. Thats why I had to delete everything and download the Windows 7 ISO and burn it to DVD. The windows ultimate was already installed, what do you mean its an unusual license for a laptop?

Windows 7 product key is one character short it seems??

Hi I have just formatted my girlfriends laptop and reinstalled windows 7 ultimate. There is no windows product key sticker anywhere on the laptop or under the battery etc. so I used a program to find the product keys on the computer, which it seemed to do fine. When I entered the product key...

Crucial M550 SSD's running slow in MBP with Yosemite?

Sorry!! I made a big mistake.... Blackmagic speed test was choosing my HDD rather than the SSD, that explains the slow speeds! I could not choose the root folder on the SSD as it was read only. So I had to go in and choose applications or my documents, then the speeds were very good across both...

Backup plan for macbook, a bit confused!

I think with my connection it could take months! Which seems a bit crazy, because if I change laptops which I plan to in a few months then I have to do it again! I think I might have to re think my plan, maybe just uploading much less, so i think the cheaper cloud stoarge might work. 100gb on...

Backup plan for macbook, a bit confused!

Thanks dr tweak Yes carbonite was definitely climbing the list! Backblaze just doesn't do some very essential things even though its very simple. It looks like it would take weeks for me to do the initial backup! That is a bit of a problem living in teh countryside, sharing a connection...

Backup plan for macbook, a bit confused!

Hi I have a macbook pro with a 256gb ssd for the OS, and a 750gb HDD for everything else. I make music, videos etc, and just have it full of data I could not afford to lose. I currently use time machine to backup on to two seperate HDDs, one that I keep with the computer. But obviously all of...
