the 1080 has an 8 pin slot. instead of using the 8 pin connector I just used a 6 pin + 2 pin Pcie cable. is this an issue. it is still 8 pins.

just finished my build and need wireless. wasn't sure if I could buy any one or there are certain ones for certain routers.

I have an Asus Z170 motherboard that comes with something called Wifi Go. Will this allow me to connect to my wireless connection? If not is there any other way I can connect to the internet? (does the board come with some other thing built in)

I checked everything and nothing is working still. im going to buy a better powersupply and see if that is the issue.

but it touched the pads on the bottom. but that should be fine

I was putting my cpu in a box and the bottom (intel so it is the pad things) touched the box. would this damage the cpu?

im a first time builder and my aunt has built many pc's so she offered to give me a little extra help. (I already have an idea and know how to mostly) if I have my phone and facetime her while building is this dangerous for my parts? potential damage or what?

im a stupid so while I was installing my ram I was kinda rough and put a lot of pressure even when it did not fit. Yes ik its stupid. But I was just wondering if the ram should be fine been as I was kind of rough. I was like forcing it and it went in weird sometimes and it was scary. So just lmk...

this is my second build and I think I screwed up my motherboard. When I flip my psu switch nothing happens but the psu works by itself (paperclip) I am returning the broken mobo for a new one. Will newegg accept it or will they deny?
