thanks for your reply. what i mean is to use it as server, not client. basically it'll be serving media to other devices that run plex client.

hey all, has anyone tried using the Nvidia Shield TV Pro as a Plex Server? will it be able to stream 4k content? will it be able to transcode? i understand its from 2019. is it smart buying a device that old ? any other alternatives, drawbacks or thoughts? thanks!

i ordered it so i will soon let us all know if it works and how well.

i run the built in speed test from within the router and get the full 2.5 gbps, plus when i just upgraded i tested once directly with the pc and also got full speed.

yes sorry forgot to mention that i run the latest merlin.
