    Strange fluid leaking from motherboard?

I don't think it is condensation since the texture of the dampness is quite oily and it is not humid where I live. There are no capacitors that look damaged or bulging, as far as I know it just mysteriously appeared there.

    Strange fluid leaking from motherboard?

I opened up my computer today and found that there was a patch of damp on my motherboard around one of the heatsinks. My computer is working fine and there are no performance issues, but this did look quite concerning. Any ideas what it might be?

Can a bad power supply make a computer slow?

It only matters if you need it to ;)

Can a bad power supply make a computer slow?

Contrary to what people have been telling me and what I've read, in my personal experience all of the tier 1 PSUs I've purchased have had some issue. I had one Seasonic PSU that "exploded" wiping out several other components, and the new Seasonic that I have now makes an unsettling buzzing noise...

Buzzing noise coming from PSU under certain conditions

Thanks for that reassurance. I only fear that they will say it's fine because it still performs the way it should apart from the noise. It doesn't necessarily occur during high CPU load, but just when things are moving on the screen, even if they are not putting much load on the CPU...

Buzzing noise coming from PSU under certain conditions

I'm 100% sure it's coming from the PSU. I even used a hollow tube to search for the whereabouts of the sound. So I guess the only option I have is to RMA the power supply, which is not very much an option for me at the moment since I can't afford to be without a computer right now so I will...

my first PC build. Will it work??

Also, you don't need a Z170 chipset motherboard if you are getting a non-overclockable CPU, unless you are thinking of upgrading the CPU and doing some overclocking in the future. It will save you a bit of money.

Buzzing noise coming from PSU under certain conditions

Every time there are things moving on my screen, this very faint but noticeable buzzing noise comes from my PSU. It happens with things like watching videos, scrolling down webpages, GIFs being present on the screen and even small things like CSS and Javascript animations on webpages and...

Need help finding most powerful/quiet GPU

You could just swap it out for a quieter R9 390. I know MSI's version uses their Zero Frozr to turn the fans off while the GPU is below 60°C. I can confirm this is true since I own one and I can rarely hear it at all...

    Problems Cloning HD to SSD

I do not have much experience in cloning. I have only done it once which was the instance that I mentioned in my last post and it worked successfully, so I thought I would share the method I used hoping that it might be able to help in some way. I do not have any quick fixes for a cloned SSD...

    Problems Cloning HD to SSD

When I bought an SSD a couple months ago to clone my system to, I used the software Macrium Reflect and it worked perfectly fine. It shrinks the partitions automatically so that they will fit on to your SSD as long as the total usage of your HDD does not exceed the partitioned space that will be...

My computer buzzes endlessly when i turn it on, but it doesnt show anything on screen

Replace your motherboard/cpu with a working pair, keeping all the other components the same and see it the problem occurs then. If it doesn't then you will know that you need to replace your motherboard as CPUs do not go fault nearly as often as motherboards do. As far as I know, simply removing...

Stuttering while playing : a CPU problem ?

Have you tried turning CPU intensive graphics settings all the way down, like lighting effects, antialiasing, anisotropic filtering, etc. It could just be one or a few settings pushing your CPU in ways it doesn't like to be pushed. Also post your specs.
