I do not remember the version before, sry. I am using a 6 pin to 8 pin converter to power the GPU. Voltage measured on the GPU is 12.3V. BSODs happen when computer is idle.

The i7-3770 has 77W TDP and the GTX1050 has a 75W TDP so you should be fine. I think you could even push to a GTX 1650 low profile like this one which I think is the biggest you can get without needing the PCIe power connector. It has the same 75W TDP.

The original cooler is undersized and noisy as hell. At least mine was... For your high ambient temp in Chennai, the bigger cooler the better. I bought a Thermaltake CL-P039-AL12BL-A (very similar to the Hyper 212/EVO) and I'm very happy with it.
