Well, now I see that my Llano box I built for a media center 2 years ago will be completely rebuilt rather than getting an add in card. If AMD's next gen APU will use the FM2+ boards as well I may go that route. If not, I'll probably wind up dumping AMD all together and go with an Intel rig.

I see this as an opportunity for AMD to contract Samsung for chip production. If Apple drops Samsung then Samsung will be looking for some business. A spot that AMD might just be able to leverage itself in to.

Tomfreak, the metro UI has every bit of the functionality of the start menu, and you can even customize it a lot more. After going through the Win 8 beta, I never once missed the start menu.

Samsung buying AMD might be one of the best things to every happen to AMD. Samsung has a top-notch fab process and they definitely do not skimp on R&D.
