Turns out it was my mistake after all. The 8-pin CPU power cable was not fully inserted on the modular PSU and I could not see it clearly inside the PSU housing. I swapped the new system PSU with my older Ryzen 5 am4 PSU and it worked, so I brought the new modular PSU back, plugging the cables...

I did, in fact tonight I left the system unplugged and removed the battery. This morning I will try with a different set of DDR5. ASRock support told me to get in touch with the seller and ask for a replacement as it is within the first 30 days. I am trying to avoid that.
