I'm not saying that no one should buy it, it might be worth it for the price drop alone compared to the 700 series. But I'm disappointed in the performance. Early this year lots of people on all sorts of forums were saying to not buy the 780 Ti because the next series was going to be so much...

4k is still a few years away from really being able to be put to good use unless you like gaming at 20-30 fps.

Honestly though FPS to me is all that matters. Unless the GPU is like insanely loud... of course I don't want that. My point is that there were people hyping up this release like it was going to be some sort of breakthrough when it is basically just a re-release and money grab.

I just don't get the big deal about the GTX 980 and 970 release. They basically just renamed the 780 Ti the 980 and the GTX 780 the 970 and made them just a little more power efficient and brought down the price by about $100. The benchmarks between the 780 ti and 980 are neck-and-neck and same...

Only thing I would add is to get the 780 Ti Superclocked with ACX Cooling. Cards with the ACX Cooling are VERY quiet... at least mine is.

That's pushing it. 600+ Watt PSU and you'll be fine.
