News Musk asserts AI will make search redundant in comment on Google Search share dipping below 90%

It's worth noting, this is the same person who said we would have full self driving cars, will colonize Mars, and thinks the Cybertruck is cool. He bought Twitter for double what it was worth. blew his chance to be part of OpenAI, and keeps hyping a so-far teleoperated-only robot. His...

News The coolest case mods of Computex 2024

Sorry, but I don't see the point of this. I have a liquid cooled case that I painstakingly made myself. Yes, I do think it looks cool, but everything I did had a utilitarian purpose. I liquid cooled it so I could run silent, because it runs our entertainment system. I used hard line because...

I built a PC With MSI's Project Zero Motherboard: Moving all the ports to the back for a cleaner, quicker build with better airflow

I've seen plumbing moved to the back, and that just seems like a bad idea, since leaks should be where you can see them. Moving all the ports and wiring to the back seems like a brilliant idea, but back panel gaps are going to need to get deeper.

News 'Tube-less' CPU Waterblock Hides Tubes Behind Motherboard

No thank you. I prefer my leaks to be where I can see them. I have a smoked glass side panel for exactly that reason.

    News Superconductor Breakthrough Replicated, Twice

No, I will not expand the Tweet above to see the video. Let me know when it's on YouTube. Why journalists continue to pathetically debase themselves by remaining on the Twitter platform is beyond me.

News LinusTechTips: Buying Second-Hand GPUs Is a Good Idea, Even From Miners

A used card with a return policy? Good luck with that. I tried buying a "new" XFX 6900XT WB from a third party on Amazon, supposedly an Authorized Retailer, and received a card that was so obviously used it was near laughable. There were still droplets of water in the water block! Not to...

News EKWB to Cut Workforce by 25% as Watercooling Sales Plummet

I wouldn't describe it that way. I own fittings from Bitspower, Corsair, Barrow, Thermaltake, Phanteks, EKWB, XSPC, SDTC, and Alphacool. Of those, I have found Alphachool and SDTC to be the least desirable, but also the least expensive. My beef with Alphacool is if you thread two extension...

News EKWB to Cut Workforce by 25% as Watercooling Sales Plummet

I bought a new motherboard, CPU, and tower last year. Spent a small fortune on the liquid cooling. I didn't want to bend the hardlines myself, so I went with glass pre-bent 90s. Looks great and works like a charm, but it also required using a lot of fittings. It must be 10 pounds in brass...

News Sapphire Rolls Out Tiny PC Chassis With Big Style

Put all the crotch flashing japanima figurines next to it that you want. It's ugly inside and out and isn't liquid cooled. Bleh...

X570 Staged, same as the CPU. Just guessing.
