You can, although this may put a lot of strain on your PSU, and also they cannot be SLIed. I would suggest a VGA to DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort adapter rather than a second card.

Are you by any chance using integrated graphics by mistake? Is your HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort plugged into your motherboard or your GPU directly?

I believe that is an 80mm bridge. A 60mm would have two PCIE x16 slots right next to another.

You could get MSI Afterburner to show your CPU/GPU usage and temps. It seems to me like the CPU could be bottlenecking, depending on what games you play.
