The BIOS (UEFI rather) says 3.9, as the system does boot, but I'm worried about potential instabilities down the line. I'm considering returning the board and going with a different one before my return period window runs out.

I see what you're saying, but isn't the 2600 Pinnacle Ridge? Is there a source citing the 2600 is not affected? I'm a bit of a worry-wart. :(

Might be a stupid question and I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but there is no harm in using a 95 watt TDP CPU on a 125 watt motherboard, correct (the CPU will only draw as much as it needs, it won't burn out or anything)?
