For college, coding, occasional gaming, movies, videos and internet. Will TRY and run OS X on it. Which one would you consider better? Is there a reason to consider the Envy with lesser specs and higher price over the Pavilion with higher specs and cheaper price other than design? Please let me...
Purpose : For college. Will be using windows+mac on both laptops. (A store near my home offered to install os x on the dell laptop.) Windows for coding+occasional gaming(almost never). Mac for browsing and movies. Shouldn't heat up and should be usable for at least 4 to 5 years.

Purpose: College. Battery life above 5 hours is good enough. Mostly browse the internet, code a lot. Occasional gaming, but a lot of video watching. Shouldn't heat up too much and shouldn't lag. The Dell is cheaper, so consider that too. And please tell me why you chose whichever one you choose...

But that's a tonymacx86 custom build. I got it from their website so I'm pretty sure it'll fit everything in!
