They may be technically right but they should have put it in the hands of the gamer to decide what works best and what doesn't. It was a poor decision at best on their part. You get ONE shot at release to get it right. When has restricted choices ever been a good thing.

You know gosh forbid all these websites regurgitate the same news. Could someone please actually test this and post results on exactly what this; "It will also increase RAM usage somewhat" actually means? 64KB, 512Kb, 2GB, what??????? Yes I know different systems will have different usage but...

First, the same thing can happen again. The FX-9830P for example is configurable from 25-35 watts. And yes, 10 watts can make a big difference when trying to squeak the most performance out of it. Secondly using 1 stick of ram is just crippling the processor out of the gate, which doesn't need...

HP will cripple the crap out of these and put the slowest memory available in them. I bet most will come with one stick of 8GB DDR4 CL15 2133MHz. If there was a way to put slower 1600MHz CL11 ram in they would.

If the PS4 Pro at minimum can have a more constant 30 fps, upgraded visuals and better VR capabilities it's a good buy. Keep what you have, trade in your older PS3/4 or wait for Scorpio. Can't go wrong any way you look a it. We have more options now than we ever did, which is a good thing.

I really appreciate Tom's last paragraph that no other website has bothered to ask. When? AMD is great at pretty slides and magical numbers that don't quite add up to reality with actual reviews.

Sounds like Glo Fo found another way to screw over AMD long term again...they could barely get off of 28nm.

I'm sure everyone will test the hech out of the new driver and AMD haters will still hate AMD no matter what the results are. It's more fun to continue the band wagon of kicking a dead horse than one that's alive and can kick back.

Sounds like it might be hardware related to the graphics card. Make sure nothing is overclocked and if possible try a different Nvidia card. It might be just a coincidence with updating your drivers. Try hooking up one monitor to just the motherboard graphics after removing the 980 Ti to see if...

Yikes, I would have hoped it would have been able to play at least Diablo 3 on medium settings with a 750 Ti but that cpu just can't feed it fast enough. Great article and thanks for over clocking numbers!
