    Mini-ITX Skylake build in Japan

Yea I pulled the trigger on the case, its sold out on Amazon presently, and actually was listed as the #1 new case when I bought it. The Silverstone RVZ01 is only slightly thicker apparently, but allows for fans on the case itself if you're into that, I kind of dig the passive cooling of the...

    Mini-ITX Skylake build in Japan

58mm I believe http://www.silverstonetek.com/raven/products/index.php?model=RVZ02 I basically want a PC as small as possible, and after initially disliking this case, I now am pretty into it. I was first looking at squatter mini-itx cases which were substantially thicker (though shorter)

    Mini-ITX Skylake build in Japan

5820k is probably a bit too much heat/power for a mini-itx build ( I know of the 'shoebox build.') I considered going that route and getting a Silverstone RVZ01 case, but decided that cooling it would be a concern. Also, I kind of just want the RVZ02, and I can't at all imagine a cpu cooler...

    mini itx ultimate gaming rig

Excellent, this is the exact post I was hoping to find! I've been looking at these exact motherboards for days now, and cannot decide. Initially I felt that Gigabyte had the best option, the Impact lacks M.2 so was immediately thrown out, and now after reading this I kind of think the Asus...

    Updated Parts List - Mini-ITX

Forgot to mention, this is mostly to be used when I work from home. I generally will have a VM open, a bunch of word docs, visio files, browser tabs, and the same in the VM. Not particularly taxing I guess. Also I do some photoshop and video editing but not a ton. The graphics card I...

    Updated Parts List - Mini-ITX

In a previous thread I introduced a build with a small case and some parts, someone recommended a Silverstone RVZ02B, and I shot it down. However after seeing the case, I realize that its basically the same volume as another case I was looking at just taller and skinnier. I'm into it now...

Mini-ITX Build with Nano Fury Advice

Thanks for the responses, couldn't I use a squatter case then like this coolermaster? http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-rc130kkn1 If the Samsung 950 is fine wth some heat hitting it, then the heat sources are the CPU and Nano. This doesn't seem excessive enough to warrant placing...

Mini-ITX Build with Nano Fury Advice

Ah I see. I just assumed that since M.2 drives are popping up in laptops, that heat wasn't a big concern. If there truly is no way to combine a nano, i7, and 950 pro, in a small case, then I may have to rethink this in general.

Mini-ITX Build with Nano Fury Advice

Thanks for the response. I am going to be doing some video editing, a lot of photoshop, and some other goodies with this box, and really would prefer to stick to an absurd SSD. How about if I switched motherboards to something with an M.2 connector like this Gigabyte...
