oh and I don't mind getting storage upgrades in the future, I was looking for one with a 2,8k display too but the problem is with the vivobook or the acer is that both (the 2,8k variant) don't have a 3050 or have 8GB RAM that's unupgradable
I'll be using this laptop (sooner or later) when I get into uni for engineering in about 3 years? I mean electrical engineering in itsself don't need any good specs or such but I'm planning on doing some light designing and maybe editing with it, music production, and also light gaming
Hey, so I've been looking for a laptop around 1k for a while now, and I'm stuck between 2 laptops specifically
ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED M3500QC
RTX 3050 (35 watt TDP ) (50 watt overclocked)
16GB Ram at 3200
Ryzen 5 5600H
DCI-P3 100% Color Range
512GB nvme storage
1080p display
vs
Acer Swift...
Hello!
I have an Asus x555lf from and it's pretty old.
I was wondering if any companies made a battery model that's bigger than 37WH which is pretty small.
Links are very much appreciated, thank you!
Alright, thanks for the info!
I'll probably sell this one and get a better one considering a good one only costs about $800 - $900 dollars now, thanks for the help
maybe try disabling the UHD 630 from device manager. I personally never had this problems and there might be some errors, but that might be the fix.
you could also try this.
Settings>System>Display>Graphics settings>Browse and add the games/apps which you want to select the GPU for and you...
and, I just did a bit more searching, and indeed a 960m is put in another model of the product (same specs and build, the only difference is the GPU) so is it possible for me to upgrade it by de soldering and soldering it?
it isn't, though, the same motherboard can come in different GPUs, some with 920ms and some with 960ms. So, can you give me a recommendation on what gpu to get with a similar amount of tdp? I've been looking and I'm unsure on what to pick
yea ... that's the main reason I'm asking this question. I work on PCs but not laptops personally so I do not know any gpu that can work with the bios and have a similar TDP
I have an old laptop that runs on a GT 930m, I wanted to repurpose it and solder on a new gpu that's better.
Any recommendations for a gpu to replace it with? (if you can provide a link, it'll be much appreciated)
I don't work on electricity or anything related with wiring but I do want to learn more about it. Can you please provide me with an article or even a guide to help me? Thank you! Your help is much appreciated!
Thank you for the tip! I'll go try it out, and I have checked the outlets etc and I just didn't knew it had to be connected to 1 breaker rather than the box. I do not live in the US but thanks for the heads up!
