I called my University's tech support. They tested it, and said I needed to change my IP acquisition to DHCP. I did so, and now the issue is gone.

My ethernet cable intermittently stops being picked up by my computer. At first, it would only happen when I open Steam. Now, it happens even when I'm just browsing the internet. It doesn't happen at home, only in the college dorms. I lived in a different room last year and it happened then too...
