LG's online specs are incorrect. Under general specs, it states the resolution is 1366x768. Then, under resolution it states 1600x900. As you found out, this 1600x900 spec is just plain old wrong.

Changing PC hardware is not going to fix this issue. You'll need to get the electrical system in your home fixed. It needs to be be properly grounded and you'll need to have grounded outlets installed.

Unfortunately, most laptops don't have a video input port, i.e. there's no method to get the video signal from the desktop into the laptop. If you have a thunderbolt port on your laptop, it might be possible.

Instead of bonding the pieces, I'd suggest you find the same laptop that is non-functioning and buy it for parts.

I'd suggest that you first update the Nvidia drivers to the latest version. Then, swap out the GPUs. If you have problems, then remove the drivers with DDU and reinstall the drivers.

One other potential workaround. Go into the NVidia control panel. Try changing YCbCr to 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. You might be be able to get 240Hz refresh rate on HDMI with this. 4K gaming typically requires a very high end GPU and a corresponding CPU. Right now, you're trying to have older hardware push 6K pixels on 3 monitors. It's a demanding scenario and your hardware is not up to the task.
