    i7-6700k speed for gamin.

Oh wow, thanks a lot for your help. I think I will try and push the chip to ~4.6-4.7GHz while also keeping the voltage <1.4-1.45V. Hopefully I can achieve this and, hopefully, this will be more than enough to run most games maxed out at 3400x1440!

    i7-6700k speed for gamin.

Hi guys, I recently purchased the i7-6700k and have it cooled with the corsair H115i on an Asus maximus viii hero board. I have a small overclock at the moment to 4.4GHz at about 1.28V. Is this sufficient for gaming or should I push the chip further? Essentially, with this particular chip...

How to plan out this for water cooling?

Another option is the Swiftech H250-X2 All-In-One Cooler. This a set of custom loop water cooling components pre-assembled at the factory/ All copper components, built in reservoir, completely serviceable and expandable. http://www.swiftech.com/h240x2.aspx You can always modify this later on if...

GTX 1080 or wait for GTX 1080ti for 3440x1440

Hi guys, So I recently purchased a Predator X34 from a friend and am planning on updating my GPU. I understand this monitor can be OC'ed to 100hz but I am not even sure the GTX 1080ti will be achieve that FPS at this resolution. Currently, it appears that the GTX 1080 can handle most games at...

My computer build question about cooling

Awesome! Thanks so much for your help. That's what I will do. Put the Swiftech up front as intake, another intake at the bottom and leave just the rear exhaust and not have the exhaust fans at the top. I really appreciate your help!

My computer build question about cooling

Perhaps I could just also scrap the watercooling idea for now and go with with noctua NH-D15 with phantec fans instead of the noctua fans. Use then three fans up front for intake and just one rear for exhaust?

My computer build question about cooling

Thank you so much for the very detailed and comprehensive reply. I did select the CLC for ease of installation but if you believe the Swiftech H250-X2 All-In-One Cooler is better, along with being an easier installation than a custom loop, then I will go with that. I think water cooling my GPU...

Thanks for the reply! I currently I have 3 front mounted intake fans (Noctua NF-a14 ppc-2000), 2 of which are mounted to the radiator of my H115i. I have 3 top mounted exhaust fans (be quiet silent wings 3 which were included with the case) and one rear exhaust fan (also NF-a14 ppc-2000). My...
