    My Toshiba HDD was doing this. I bet I wasted 3 hours in BIOS and CONFIG trying to figure it out. All I had to do was go to the HDD password tool website and install the HDD password security software. Once installed, it rebooted and the password prompt came up just like it used to and presto...
