So i looked in my display adapters and it displays both my intel hd 4600 and my nvidia 1070 but when i run dxdiag it says its only using my 4600 and i cant seem to enable my 1070. everything worked well for over a year and now nothing works anymore.

So my room mate did some weird voodoo stuff with the ethernet cable and i dunno what to do with it. I moved rooms so now i have to pull the wire through the wall into my room but is blocked by this white box that he put the wires in. Now i cant ask him for help cause hes gone for the week.
