    That's the way to do it. Laptops need a stable, regulated power supply and their sensitive components could damaged with a wildly fluctuating power supply when a solar panel is connected directly.

    Head over to Windows Settings -> System -> Power & battery -> Power mode. Ensure that "Plugged in" is set to "Best performance". Or, if your laptop is using a third-party power tweaker then check there too.

    That's normal behaviour for Windows 11. It's never been possible to drag the icons to a different position in the overflow section. Third-party "tweaking" tools may give you the functionality you desire.

    As a workaround, use the bootable Acronis TrueImage bootable CD/USB to go into the recovery environment. You'll no longer be in the Windows environment so Com Surrogate won't be an issue.
