Hi all, So I just bought a new 1080 Ti and installed it, and since then (1/2 weeks) I've been getting the classic "Windows has detected your system is running slowly, would you like to change to Windows Basic?" message. Disabling it is seemingly impossible, but more importantly I'd like to know...

Friends GPU suddenly stopped giving output while running and he's got no way of testing any of his hardware without spending money. Most obvious case is a dead GPU, so how often do GPUs die without previously giving stuttering/artifacting/noises/anything? He's had it 2 years. Thanks!
