MERGED QUESTION Question from Senvr : "I want to turn an old internal CDROM into something i can use externally." The CDRom uses SATA, and i have an ESata port on my computer. Is there any free way I could attach it, somehow? -

Building a sata to esata cable?
Could anyone inform me on how i could make such a cable? I have an ESata port on my PC and a SATA cdrom and hard drive i want to use. I don't know too much about this, BTW.
