The free versions of the softwares are doing no purpose. Just stay away from them is the best possible solution. Even if it costs a few dollars, i would say that getting a paid version will have a real online protection. For spyware protection, i would recommend spysweeper, No Adware, and...

I would rate NoAdware, SpySweeper and Spyware Doctor as the most efficient spyware removal programs.

I would rate Kaspersky as the best but AV product. Its better than CA and Norton.

Grisoft would be the no:1 choice. Even it got antispyware application with it.

I prefer Kaspersky in paid versions. If its a free one...i would prefer AVG.
