Update: just installed my 850 and everything works great. But here’s the thing: The other drive may not have been defective. When I have Nzxt’s can fps overlay enabled it drops my framerate to the same levels as the nvme :P That actually might have been the problem all along - whoops

Also in non-directX applications the gpu was being utilized in full. I use a roller coaster design/simulation software (It uses direct 3D 11) and the gpu reached 98 percent usage. Strange

Update: the ssd was either defective or an issue that I would have to update my UEFI to fix and I didn’t want to risk bricking my mobo. Amazon took my return and I wound up getting a 500gb 850 evo :)

UEFI is not updated and all games are affected.

what is the samsung ssd driver - I rebooted from a usb drive, formatted the hdd and installed windows on the ssd

everything is on the ssd

Gpu utilization is still 65 percent in-game despite userbenchmark saying my GPU is performing in the 88th percentile

Samsung magician says ssd is in good condition

Original ssd bench is from userbenchmark. Samsung magician is saying that read is at 2266 MBs and write is at 1443 mbs

Okay. Gpu is running in x16 gen3 and the ssd is running at x4 speeds. No dice on rocket league, however.
