Check for any internal physical damages such as burnt marks, scratches, etc. etc. in and around the cpu area. Also inspect the motherboard, ram, and psu. Any signs of damage pretty much means its dead.

I would personally recommend the first one. For the most part, it will be able to run next-gen games efficiently if that's what you are trying to achieve.

Another update: I seem to have discovered a potential infection on my computer. This was found because Malwarebytes Anti-malware would not start up at all. After trying to update it, loads of external and internal errors poped up. Installation going back to Windows 7 is a potential reconsideration.
