Whichever is set as the boot drive in bios that will be the one that it boots from. Change it to your 1tb and when you enter windows format your 500gb to remove the OS. Copy everything you want off it tho.

Added link. The main thing thats getting me is that it says its a proper thing and then it says OEM further down. Oem's supposedly have problems when upgrading a pc.

Did you use pcpartpicker to check? They have a huge list of parts and an excelent compatibilty checker. You can even test build entire pc's on there before buying a single part. Try them next if you didn't already use them ( If you used them and this happens I might just loose my faith in them).

I see. What about super flower? They make great psu"s aswell and aren't very expensive ( at least where I'm from). But that psu isn't too bad, just not ideal.
