One thing definitely on the RAM - with the 2011 system, you want 4 ram modules for optimal performance, so you want either a 4x8 kit (32) or a 4x4 kit (16) - not a 2x8 - you will lose performance on memory massively. 2011 wants 4 channel, and with only 2 ram modules it would drop you to 2...

One certain item - for gaming, you only need 8GB RAM - there is no real gain in getting 16GB - that should give something back.

I think he would want at least an 850W if as he said, he intends to add a second 780ti in the next 6 months. Do not think 750 would really be enough, especially if he wants some OC room.

For me (I use 2 monitors and span my desktop) the ability to do this with CrossfireX got my vote, I got the 3870x2 and am really enjoying the performance. Both are monster cards, but from what I have read the 3870x2 is slightly ahead on a Cost vs. Performance issue (not outright performance).

I am running that power supply now: Q6600 @ 3.8Ghz, X38, 8800GTX, 2 HD, 2 DVD+RW, Water Cooling, 9 120mm fans, and have had zero power issues. So far it is very stable, and provides all of the juice I can use.

The black wires he has there are actually temperature probes for one of the temp monitors.
