PC keeps lagging and restarting a lot after i'm cleaning it. HELP!!

I would say if this is a 7-year old PC then any thermal paste will probably be fine. Just make sure it is applied properly, you don't want too much or when you press down the heatsink it will spread out over the edges of CPU into the socket. What country are you in? A tube of thermal paste...

    How reliable is an AIO

A failing pump would not cause your CPU to fry, there are protections in place to shut your PC down upon overheating. An air cooler may actually be quieter than an AIO (not sure on this, have read it quite a bit though) My H100i has been working just dandy for a few years now, would use an AIO...

you may be able to pick up thermal paste at a store near you, otherwise you will need to order online. I recommend using the following method: 1. remove heatsink 2. use coffee filter and rubbing alcohol to clean old paste off CPU and heatsink (coffee filters leave no unwanted fibers stuck...

PC keeps lagging and restarting a lot after i'm cleaning it. HELP!!

once you remove the heatsink it breaks the bond it has with thermal paste. Anytime you take it off you need to reapply, this is an absolute must. You can look up a video on youtube for how to do it. ArcticSilver is a brand i would recommend, you can order it online for pretty cheap

newbie installing GTX 1070 pin connector question

edit: looks like you found your solution :) you should also seriously think about cleaning the dust out of your case, including the CPU cooler and fans. buy a can of compressed air, or use a low power leaf blower outside

Problem with resolutions/144hz on my monitor

So you got your monitor 'working again'. when did it stop working? tried swapping out your GPU to see if that is the problem? Unfortunately that's what it sounds like to me - when you start hearing 'Artifacts' and black screens... At the very least it's worth a shot to rule it out as the issue.

Problem with resolutions/144hz on my monitor

"My monitor has been acting up recently" so it was working at 144hz at some point? When did this problem begin? Can you pinpoint any software/hardware/system changes that would have caused it? Overclocking CPU or GPU?

Problem with resolutions/144hz on my monitor

why would you plug both cables in at once? Note: must be 'dual-link' DVI cable for 144hz I assume when you say "set it at 144hz" you mean in Windows, not in-game? right-click desktop > display settings > scroll down > advanced display settings > scroll down > Display Adapter Properties >...
