Question Fan spins but is not detected in BIOS, and RPM is not reported ?

Yes, BIOS and Windows Utility both show RPM for FAN2 as well as CPU Fan. FAN1 used to show RPM when it was directly connected, but not with the extension cable now.

Thanks. Can you suggest a budget solution for the second problem? Something that is affordable but compatible with my mobo and fan? Also am I correct in assuming that even with a "smart" converter that connects the ARGB fan to my 4-pin RGB header, I'll not be able to control lighting from...

Question Connecting ARGB fan to RGB LED header ?

Thanks. Is this thing of any use for my purpose? It is a 4-pin12V to 3-pin ARGB converter and specifically mentions AsRock RGB LED in the description. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003680148761.html Or is it only for RGB strips?

[SOLVED] What card does 4K gaming take after all?

Thanks everyone. I think I get my answers. So the fact that 1080 was good enough for 4K gaming was because the available 4K titles at that time were less demanding than they are today. And secondly, I should buy a 4K monitor before buying a 4K supporting graphics card. Sounds reasonable.

I have purchased AsRock Z370 Killer SLI/AC with i5 8400 and am now confused about RAM. 1. Should I buy 2 x 8GB or 1 x 16GB (or 4 x 4GB?!)? 2. How does that relate to single/dual/quad channels and how does that affect speed? 3. Does my motherboard/processor even support dual/quad channels...
