Asus Bows To Compatibility, Adds USB Type-C To External GPU Dock

Thunderbolt 3 can support 40 Gbps in each direction, but you're limited to 32 Gbps because that is the max speed of the PCIe 3.0 x4 interface that connects it to the host.

Intel M.2 DC S3500 Enterprise SSD Review

Valid question in general, but irrelevant in this case because this drive uses SATA M.2.

Silverstone Announces Redesigned MILO ML06-E HTPC Case

Never mind the high end cards, I'm having trouble even finding any low profile mid-tier graphics options.

ViewSonic's VX2475Smhl-4K Ultra HD Panel Ships For $611

    1) 4k at anything above 60 Hz is not supported by DP 1.2 of HDMI 2.0. It requires too much bandwidth 2) The graphics hardware you'd need to run 4k at anything more than 60 Hz for gaming is rather insane.

Gigabyte's Fleet Of 100 Series Motherboards May Hint At DX12 Multi-GPU Capabilties

That's not correct. There are 16 lanes running from the CPU, and up to 20 additional lanes running from the chipset (note however that using all 20 of those lanes would mean no SATA.

Intel Introduces Thunderbolt 3, Offering 40 Gb/s, DisplayPort And USB 3.1 Over USB Type-C

Possible, but not likely I think. A USB 3.1 controller is built into the Alpine Ridge TB3 controller, which is only connected via PCIe and DisplayPort.

Windows 10 To Support USB 3.1 Type-C, Market Has Few Offerings

Uptake of the type c does seem to be a bit slow, doesn't it. I suppose it's not surprising given how long Type A has been around for. Could it be that Apple's willingness to impose new connector standards across all devices is precisely what we need here?

ARM Says 2015 Will Be The Year Of 64-Bit Chips

Apple's early move to 64 bit was probably more about software than hardware. By the time more than 4GB of memory is needed in a mobile device, their entire app ecosystem will be 64 bit enabled. They did the same with personal computers - some of their earliest 64 bit models can't even hold...

Alienware Graphics Amplifier: Another External Graphics Brick

http://www.anandtech.com/show/7987/running-an-nvidia-gtx-780-ti-over-thunderbolt-2 Actual measurements seem to suggest that an x4 connection doesn't really hurt performance in most situations.

Trade Up iPhone 6 For BlackBerry Passport, Get $550

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that if Apple only wanted to market to idiots and hipsters, they wouldn't bother designing their own SoC with a custom microarchitecture...

Zotac GeForce GTX 980 AMP! Omega Edition Review: The Big Gun

I'm skeptical that the 980 needs such a beefy cooler, even when overclocked.

Apple iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus Review

There are rumors that Apple has stopped using TLC in some devices for precisely that reason. Nothing confirmed though.

Apple iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus Review

How can this guy sit here and hump apples leg by saying the A8 should be competitive if not class leading when it's competition averages over 1Ghz higher clock speed and 2 more cores.... I know a lot of people doing reviews now a days feel obligated to shine up certain companies and make their...

Apple Allegedly Boycotts German Tech Site Over 'Bendgate' Video

I'm having trouble finding any evidence that devices getting bent in normal usage is more than just a handful of users with unusually tight pants. I don't think tests like this are representative of the stresses that phones will get in normal usage but Apple's response doesn't seem appropriate...
