Although probably unlikely that still could be SATA. M.2 is a socket used by SATA, NVMe 3.0, 4.0 & 5.0. If SATA I have seen reviews stating some games do suffer small amounts of pop in. If the drive was more than 85% that could also increase the chances as performance starts to drop.

I can’t say specifically for those games but in my experience most games won’t use more than 12 threads. It is therefore very possible to be performance limited by 1 or more threads hitting close to 100% while others go largely unused. Were any of the 32 threads close to 100%?

I would say it moved into a more professional market segment than consumer. Surface Pro and equivalent Windows tablets are used in many businesses.

You say you got the pc a week ago. Did you build it or buy it pre-built? If pre-built then the builder should be fixing this.

Back in the days when Sony made laptops I upgraded one to a SSHD. At the time it was an excellent performance boost for the snappiness of Windows while being cost effective and providing enough storage. I would not buy one today.

What happens if you run userbenchmark again?

Everything else looks good but 11% background usage is a little bit high if you had allowed Windows to finish loading. Have a look in Task Manager and see if you can see what’s running.
