[SOLVED] PC won't boot up after trying to install second SSD

Got it sorted thanks! I think it's right anyway. I was concerned, because the BIOS showed the Samsung drive, then the boot manager for the Samsung Drive, and than the boot manager for the Intel drive. The Intel drive shows up in the summary after you save and exit, but didn't show up when it...

[SOLVED] PC won't boot up after trying to install second SSD

I haven't checked BIOS yet, I was doing this at lunch, and ran out of time lol. Not sure which SATA port I was using, other than it wasn't the one the original SSD was plugged into. I'll have to check the BIOS when I get home, the main thing I'm concerned about is if I fried something somehow.

[SOLVED] PC won't boot up after trying to install second SSD

Hi all, ran into an issue when trying to add a second (used) SSD. I figured I could simply plug the second drive in, then boot up the PC and format it. But when I booted, it used the second drive instead. I tried swapping the cables around, figuring that might work, but then when I fired it up...

    Question second drive question

Haven't picked one yet, price is a factor. Mobo is Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming. Partpicker says I have 2 M.2 slots, and an NVME is compatible.

Hi all, got a question about adding g a second drive. I have Windows 10 installed on my SSD, and I want to add a 2nd one strictly for games. Unfortunately, I've lost my Windows 10 key. Is there a way to simply copy everything to the new SSD from the existing one, uninstall everything, and...

    Question second drive question

Hi all, not sure if thus is the right place, but here goes! I currently have a 512Gb SATA SSD, and want to add an NVME SSD. (hopefully I have my terminology right) I'm probably missing something, but I see people say that they have OS on one drive, and games on another. Don't you need the OS...

Question How full Should my storage SSD be allowed to get?

I admit, since I'm currently running only a 512Gb SSD, it gets filled up more, I typically leave about 15-20Gb free. Is there any advantage besides speed to leaving more space, assuming I'm not having any issues? (I used to only leave 5-10Gb, but had crashes a couple times with more recent games)

    Question GPU ???s and advice

Thanks for that. I've been an AMD guy all along, but mostly based on price. Usually, it seemed as if I was getting 80-90% of the performance for 60% of the price, but with the Ryzen 2700x (bought 5 years ago, and RX 580, (7 years ago) I felt I was getting better performance AND price...
