I built myself a new computer a couple years back, aside from the GPU and HDD. That being said, I don't know quite enough to troubleshoot things. So for xmas I put in a different HDD and GPU into my old system to give to my nephew. It's all used parts but it runs. Problem is, it's pretty slow...

My AVG has worked just fine until a couple days ago, now when my PC boots up it tells me; "AVG License Error AVG is not able to recognize you License Number." I don't think the license needs re upping since my dad buys it for I think 3 other computers excluding mine and hes not getting this...

I dusted out my computer last night, it had been a couple years. I plugged everything back in and turned it back on, about 10 minutes later it shut itself down. After looking in the bios I found that the CPU was running at 174°F. It goes from 84°F to 174°F in about two minutes while in bios...
