The Caviar Blue is a good drive and is definitely fast enough for games in terms of read/write speeds. Honestly the Caviar seems faster than my OCZ SSD (Agility II)

I don't know if there is a benchmark but what I can tell you is that SATA II runs at about 300MB/s while SATA III is at 600MB/s you really won't see to big of a difference. Either way you'll be fine with SATA II connection.
