    Question Powering tons of LEDs???

This was almost a day ago at this point and Ive not been just sitting here waiting for replies, Ive done more research and have decided that this is the way that I want to go, but multiple replies here have shown that there are other ways to do what I want, and probably safer/easier. I still...

    Question Powering tons of LEDs???

The strip I have is the twice as dense one, so 300 LEDs in 5m. Either way I have already tested it out with a temporary power supply and it gives me the look I want. I know what LEDs I have, How much power they draw, and how bright they are. My question remains: Does anyone know of a ATX PSU...

    Question Powering tons of LEDs???

that is an interesting device, I will have to look more into that. Thank you for telling me about it. As for @ElectrO_90 I know that brightness is not measured in watts but velocity was trying to tell me it was too bright....

    Question Powering tons of LEDs???

These lights are nowhere near as bright as "standard" home lights. this full strip might be as bright as 1 8w super bright bulb, but its not 6 of them for sure. These strips are nowhere near as efficient as those white LEDs. Anyways though, is there a way for me to have a standalone PSU hooked...

    Question Powering tons of LEDs???

They are actually going underneath my desk as a little bit of ambient lighting. I could use half brightness but that is still 9 amps. I'm 90% sure someone else replied to this thread then deleted their post about my CX600 and Ill just say that it is 5 years old and was my first power supply when...

    Question Powering tons of LEDs???

So... I am trying to decide if this is the way to go or not, as it would make everything neater and easier for me, and that is the goal of this project in the first place. I want to be able to power ~300 RGB LEDs (ws2812) from my computer's PSU. They use 5v and take slightly less than 20 amps...

    Question Question on RGB Lighting

So this is a little bit of a different question about how to get more power out of the on-board RGB header. I have an ASUS Prime Z390-P with one 4 pin RBG header on the bottom. It uses the ASUS Lighting Control software (NOT Aura). My issue is that I have quite a lot of LED cables around my...

Question Is 90C too hot for my CPU?

Yeah I did a little more research and it seems like most people say that most voltages are technically fine as long as you can keep it cool (which i cant right now lmao) Surprisingly I did not find a "one button reset" for my cpu clock in the uefi so i just manually set the boost clock to what...

Question Is 90C too hot for my CPU?

Sorry for the late reply, but Ive reset my clock down to 3.7ghz and voltage is down to 1.02-1.03V temps area also down to like 50 under full load ML240 on top exhaust and no case fans atm

Question Is 90C too hot for my CPU?

According to HWmonitor, im using 1.459V (idk what that means i set the voltage to auto in the overclock set-up) and im not actually using any front fans right now because I took them out. I dont have the replacements on hand atm tho an no rear exhaust. Is the lack of front fans the issue? or...

Question Is 90C too hot for my CPU?

Well.... after a pretty derp moment, i forgot that after one of my front case fans stopped working, i took them out to replace them but never did cuz i got distracted. So.... with this setup i have 2 exaust fans on the radiator for the CPU and 2 fans on my gpu and....thats it... I may have found...

Question Is 90C too hot for my CPU?

So are you saying that if I were to remount/re-paste the cooler then it should improve? i'm a little worried that Ive just overclocked it too far and my cooler wont be able to keep up even under better mounting conditions (tbh i thought it was mounted properly already but idk) Edit: Im...

Question Is 90C too hot for my CPU?

So I recently got into 3d rendering and have only rendered one image so far, but for about 3 mins (the render time) my cpu was above 90 degrees. AFAIK it did not throttle itself but it did stutter once for about half a second. Is this too hot? Under normal temps and as soon as the render...
