Yeah I've updated the Bios already, as of last week anyway. The system is sharing 7915 MB of memory according to the cards system info as per below, but that's a lot more than the 554 MB which is set as hardware reserved and unusable according to Win 8.1 in system properties. [Display]...

Just a wired keyboard, wired G500 optical mouse, and the xbox one joypad. With just a wired no frills optical mouse and and keyboard plugged in I still lose that 1/2 GB memory.

Just switched to the iGPU and I have even less usable memory, so I don't think it's relating to the iGPU. It's definitely something the bios is doing, and I think it's simply because the Maximus VII Hero doesn't support the Trdient X memory I'm using. F3-2400C10D-16GTX isn't in the current...

The only place I can see an option for selecting the memory for the iGPU is in the bios Advanced-->System Agent Config--> Graphics config, but since changing primary display to PEG or PCIE, it doesn't give the option to select the amount of memory allocated to the iGPU. Just tried to install the intel graphics driver software, but it wouldn't install, said the PC didn't meet the minimum system requirements, probably because the iGPU is actually disabled already.
