    I am using a basic cheap amazon mic (It's a BM-800), it's a dynamic mic. I plugged it directly into the motherboard. Thanks, I'll give that a go. :)

    Question My PC only recognises microphones with a TS (Tip Sleeve) aux cord?

    My PC recognises my microphone when the aux cord is a TS (Tip Sleeve), but if I plug it in with a TRS aux cord (Tip Ring Sleeve), it won't even recognise the mic. I have an ASRock b450 steel legend motherboard, and am running windows 10.
