Intel Core i7-5960X, -5930K, And -5820K CPU Review: Haswell-E Rises

Sorry I should add my considerations are a 4930k vs a 5930k (I need the 40 lanes for 3 GPUs, a 10Ge and some pci-e ssd). I don't mind third party chipsets for 6g sata and usb 3. And AVX2 is broken and disabled in microcode still? Does anyone buy the X parts? Seems like efficiency on 6 core vs 6...

Intel Core i7-5960X, -5930K, And -5820K CPU Review: Haswell-E Rises

In reference to your "efficiency" graph. This is almost always what I base most of my decision on, but my experiments showed that changes when overclocking. My question is when we talk about a 4.3ish GHz Haswell-E being about the same as a 4.8ish GHz IB, the question I have is what does...

MSI R9 290X Lightning Review: The Right Way To Cool Hawaii

Unless I am mistaken you burn 3 slots with this guy. For how close this is to the Tri-x in thermals and acoustics, but with the loss of a slot and the added price, meh. Tri-x still seems like the best value proposition.

Does Radeon R9 290X Behave Any Differently In A Closed Case?

To my point, and sorry for the double post:http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-280x-third-party-round-up,3655.htmlPage 12This operates on the assertion that the Toxic cooler for the 280x is quite similar to the 290x Tri-x, but that is conjecture. I'm sure there are subtle differences...

Does Radeon R9 290X Behave Any Differently In A Closed Case?

This surprises me a bit after Tom's 280x roundup where the Asus DCII really came out nicely with regards to both acoustics and temps conceding in clocks to the faster but louder toxic card. Obviously this is a different chip with different properties, but fundamentally you'd expect mostly...
