Hello, I am going to soon build a new gaming rig and my friend just got a GTX 980TI and offered to sell his GTX 980 for $300. This sounds like a fantastic deal, but is it even worth it since pascal GPU's are going to be released around April sometime?

Do you know when they will release benchmarks approximately? I know the card is coming out in the first half of '16, but will they most likely be released close to the release date or a bit sooner?
