Asus seems to be the most popular but don't they overclock the fsb on their boards before leaving the factory? I haven't read anything positive or negative about intel boards. I'm considering the d850emv2l...anyone have opinions on it?

Is it me or is the 850 chipset being ignored? I've been visiting the sites of mobo manufacturers and online sellers tonight. Most new boards I've seen include the 845e chipset. I realize rambus is expensive but to utilize the 533 bus to its potential isn't rambus needed?

I've waited a long time to hear from asus tech support and have grown frustrated so now I've turned to all of you for help. Specifically those who own the a7v333. Does the board support thermal case fans? Can the q-fan feature be disabled or will I be forced to buy a speed adjustable cpu...

bear...how many fan connectors does the 651 have? The mobo I'm considering has 3 (I think) but my case (kingwin kt-436s) can hold 6. Two front..two rear...one side (didn't want one there) and one blowhole.

thanx bear...you're probably right. I've only read good things about enermax ps. I wanted a very powerful model. The 651 is the most powerful I've seen so far.

Thanx for the info arrow. I never thought of y-splitters. The ps will be an enermax651 (550watts). Plenty of room there to handle hardware additions too.

I guess this is a basic question but I'm not familiar with ps. All I know is the more watts the better. What feature do I need to look for to see how many case fans I can connect to a ps?

Is there a real difference between aluminum and steel cases in terms of temperature? I've heard aluminum helps to dissapate (spelling?) heat evenly therefore components stay cooler. Any truth to this? If so...is the difference large enough to warrant spending more money on an aluminum case?

sheesh...only 256 megs? This stuff is rolling out very slow. I'm itchin' for the 512 meg sticks and hoping for two of them if the price isn't outrageous.

I agree...its a great place to shop. You can find everything you need to build a complete system, prices are good and apparently their service and support is rated high. I don't work for them =)
