Would you suggest a way to isolate the bad blocks, so I don't get my files corrupted by the same sectors again? I do have periodic backup, so don't worry about it. I mainly use my HDD to hold VHDX drives, is it an issue?

Hi Ralston, I'm not interested in overclocking, either. My CPU wouldn't even allow it, and I knew since the acquisition. I also look for stability and performance as idealized by manufacturer.

IDK about Sentinel. I wouldn't dump money to recover a clearly faulty and compromised HDD. I also have an open thread about HDD issues and agony. I'll test DiskGenius as you mentioned.

Hi Kusho, If you say the RAM sticks are different, check if you're not applying both sticks to form a dual-channel. You must then choose a different RAM slot to accommodate the second stick.

You should try CHKDSK X: /R /F to see the results. If the sectors can be isolated, it'll be "less bad".

I would try to use a very low resolution (as your onboard). Maybe your GPU is surpassing the resolution, frequency or any spec to which your monitor cannot function properly?

Hi aska, I'll be sharing my experience with you and won't probably be your final required answer, but anyway... here you go! Noises in the audio channel can indeed come from cables, but also lack of insulation filters between, I would say, power supply and analog channel, assuming that noise...

My actual intent is to push the processor to the limit by improving components. I already feel I'm very very restrained in heat exchange. About PSU, I have a spare Corsair CX600. It won't probably be enough for the optimized future build, but it's a starting point, isn't it?!

I would isolate parts involved in the issue: - GPU (check); - DP cable (change it and observe); - Monitor (change it and observe); - Monitor Power Supply cable; - Monitor electric outlet; - If I miss something, continue going deeper and deeper.
