MCX Breach Shows Stores Can't Be Trusted With Customer Data

I still think it is funny this article is highlighting bugs in a beta test.

MCX Breach Shows Stores Can't Be Trusted With Customer Data

Ummmm BETA testers? Are we really reporting about issues/bugs/security holes in a BETA test? Wouldn't that be expected? This is the best Apple could buy in the days following their temper tantrum?

OCZ Storage Solutions Re-emerges as Toshiba Subsidiary

I have always stuck to Samsung and OCZ SSD's. After owning a couple dozen drives between the two I can't say one is more reliable that the other. I can however say Samsung's reputation pegs them as more reliable. The biggest difference between the two is the support. People at OCZ act like...

AMI's UEFI Signing Key and BIOS Source Code Leaked

All test keys, not production keys. Unless your motherboard mfg is as shady as Jetway and didn't follow standard procedure and convert test keys to production keys, there is little concern here. http://ami.com/News/PressRelease/?PrID=392

OCZ Expands Far Cry 3 Vector SSD Offer

I grabbed a couple 256ers and made some use of FC3. Decent game, meant for single player. I have a 256GB Samsung Pro that is a good drive, but the Vector outperforms it. I have owned 4 Vertex, a Vertex 2, Vertex LE, 2 Vertex 3 Max IOPS, 4 Vertex 4 drives, 2 Vector and a Revodrive. Only one...

Plextor's NGFF SSD to Deliver Speeds of Up To 700 MB/s

This does look interesting. I like seeing Plextor getting some good exposure. My favorite components usually come from Intel, EVGA, OCZ, and Plextor.

Samsung Exec Blames Windows 8 for Declining PC Market

Correct. There was enthusiasm around the Windows 7 launch on a much greater scale. The best you find for 8 are comments like: "Its not that bad." "I can tolerate it." "Just install Start8 and it is fine." "I just like having the latest." "I had to get it, that's all they offered. I don't mind...

OCZ's Vector PCIe SSD to Include TRIM and SMART support

unknown9122Why arent they using PCI3? I guess not many people have mobos that support it. Also a lot of boards have a x4 slot that isn't 3.0 anyway. That and at 1GB/s 3.0 vs 2.0 wouldn't matter.

OCZ's Vector PCIe SSD to Include TRIM and SMART support

I hope this drive is amazing and priced reasonably. Right now there aren't many PCIe cards even available and it is such a great interface to base storage on. The Intel 910's are crazy expensive and the Revo 3's have wildly varying performance depending on data type. I'll watch for the...

Apple, Intel In Talks Over Chip Manufacturing Deal

Just remember OS X is still rocking that 7.15 percent total market share of all desktop and notebook systems - systems people actually use to get things done. In the gadget segment they have 54% so I guess that is good business since they only last a year or two before obsolete or broken.

OCZ Launches VXL 1.3 Solid State Virtualisation Software

Pretty fancy.... but when do they launch that awesome looking PCIe version of Vector?

Report: Intel Having USB 3.0 Problems with Haswell

Or you could just not use S3 sleep. A modern notebook on a SSD will boot in about 10 seconds. It isn't like the lost 8 seconds will destroy your life quality. Heck, you can use that 8 seconds to look around and think about the real world, maybe even the people you are about to ignore.

OCZ to Showcase Enterprise Storage Solutions at CeBIT 2013

I hope they also plan to give us a look a Vector/Barefoot3-based PCIe solutions too. I've got 5 Vector drives up and running now and the controller seems rock solid and just stays fast.

OCZ Will Continue Using SSD Controllers From Competitors

Not a bad idea, as long as they stick to the mid-high end market now. Making that cheap stuff isn't a good idea, ie Petrol anyone? Vertex 4 and Vector are amazing drives, rock solid and pro-quality. First time I opened Vector I was shocked at the build quality. Had 3 for just about 3...
