Yes you can swap your HDD with a SSD but will it fit perfectly will depend after you open up your computer and see if you have enough room available for it.

Try changing the RAM from one slot to the other or swap your ram with a new one and see if it helps. Could be caused by bad RAM's or SLOT's.
