wildcard it maybe enough for games that came out like 2 years ago but not today's titles. i had a gtx 1080 returned it for a 1080 ti you're not going to get 60 fps on those titles especially on 4k . try to play shadow of the tomb raider with that and you're fighting a down hill battle with heat...

as long as it's not been overclocked and not abused it should last a very long time , I had gpus back to a gts 250 that runs like it was brand new , I never overclocked them or working them past their limits

I think I know what your issue is , did you go into the NVidia control panel ??? I have to enable sli in the panel and turn off v sync and have the power to maximum performance

I have the exact same cards on I get over 100 fps in most of my games that's over 150

I agree for 1080 p games are getting more and more vram hungry , from what I've seen in modern games so far looks like 1080 p is the sweet spot to max out the modern games without the thoughts that is going to slow the games down to achieve the game's best performance 4k the cards will overheat...

that's true in 4 k you really don't need "everything maxed out" b/c of the higher res. makes up for it , I had a 4k but the cards were getting too hot I went to 1080 p 144 hz and had no issues with maxing everything out and not worry about it 4 yrs to come

well that's a good question , but in my opion it won't be better than the 1080 for 1 specific reason vram can't stack and only has 2 gigs of vram , and 2nd you can't sli the 1050s
