I have found that if you use HDMI from computer to tv the tv thinks its a normal video stream and 'overscans' it as it does with say a freeview signal, so it doesnt look as sharp as it can do, if the tv supports a per pixel display mode this may help, on my samsung its called just scan I think.

I would have thought the inflated system specs would be an excuse to keep upgrading our computers :D But on a serious note it does suck how under optimised some pc games are compared to the console versions, I wonder if windows has any input to this (bloated over the top operating system...

Metal Gear Solid 2 ate up 15 hours of my weekend when it came out, me and few lads from college wanted to complete it over the weekend so we could chat about it on monday, very worth it though :D

Do you have ATItool running by any chance? its a long shot but i had a similar problem with Call of Duty 4 when i was using that program. It was a new build i was using too so i tore my hair out going through all the reasons it could have been. Or it might even be an issue with Punkbuster?
