    I have a Gateway E6610D case (must be made in 2006) and now I got an MSI B75A-G41, but I've been told not to plug the usb wires to avoid shorting or smth. They offered to sell me a new case. i can still use use rear usbs right? what is this all about?

    I have to buy imports, also good brands are hard to come by. I saw someone with a corsair RM750 but it costs about twice as much and by the time i can afford it it could be gone

    Yes and yes, the 2GB on its own doesn't boot, iirc I have to start with the 512 and pick manual mode for ram timings which don't include 6-6-6-18 (limit is 5-5-5-15, frequency however can be set to 800), then save the settings and insert the bigger one afterwards which was the only way I could...

    I just replaced a dead mobo with this one and I have to make do with it for the moment. The mobo is D975XLAG1(intel, doesn't appear on their website), it doesn't boot unless this 512MB 5300 5-5-5-15 stick is present, it's a real hassle getting it to boot after fiddling with things, I tried...
